Invited by State Key Laboratory of Geodesy and Earth’s Dynamics (SKLGED), professor Jin Shuanggen from Shanghai Astronomical Observatory visited Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics (IGG) and gave an academic report “The Recent Development and Theory of GNSS Reflected Measuring ” on November 30.
The report detailedly introduced the theory, signal characteristics and data processing methods of GNSS-R and the applications of GNSS-R Remote Sensing Technology in Oceanography, Geophysics, Glaciology and Geodesy. Then he introduced the recent development of GNSS-R, especially the Satellite-borne GNSS-R. At last, he showed us how to measure soil moisture content, snow depth and wave height with actual data. After the report, Professor Jin Shuanggen also had a deep discussion with the audience about the GNSS-R Remote Sensing Technology and its applications in Geoscience, which contributed in a big way to our academic exchange and cooperation.
Professor Jin Shuanggen, a Hundred-Talent Program(Chinese Academy of Sciences), engaged in the research of satellite navigation, satellite remote sensing, satellite gravity for long time. He achieved many innovative research results with international influence and published 300 papers in the world's top academic journals.
