Since its establishment 50 years before the institute has made major contribution. Since rebuilt in 1978, it has been in charge of or joined 402 scientific completed projects, including 47 key national ones, 57 important ones of CAS, and 87 ones of natural science funds of China. So that, it has made 159 scientific results and gained 73 awards up provincial level which include 10 national awards. Then it has published not only 1624 important academic papers with 97 ones to have been included by SCI from 1991 to 2004, but also 64 monographs. Furthermore, it has obtained 42 scientific result patents, including 18 invention ones and 24 new practical ones. And now it has stronger innovational research ability and synthetically competing strength, basing self to international forward position, and can make every effort to get the achievement having international influence.
