Prof. David Yuen from Minnesota Supercomputing Institute and Dept. of Geology and Geophysics, University of Minnesota paid a visit to the Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics(IGG) at the invitation of Prof. Ni Sidao, the director of Key Laboratory of Dynamic Geodesy(KLDG) on Sep. 2, 2010.

Prof. Yuen delivered a report at IGG during his visit. The title of his report was ” GPU Computing and Computational Geophysical Fluid Dynamics”. Prof. Xiong, the vice director of IGG mastered the report. Prof. Sun Heping, director of IGG and Prof. Xu Houze, Academician of CAS attended the meeting.
