Recently，IGG research group carried out scientific investigation on Dajiuhu wetland in Shenongjia, under the leadership of Liu Chengshu, director assistant of IGG and Du Yun, director of Key Laboratory of Hubei Environment and Disaster Monitoring and Evaluation.

During the investigation, research group sampled the soil, water and vegetation of the wetland. Administration bureau of Jiudahu wetland and IGG agreed that it was of great importance to establish ecological experimental station in Jiudahu wetland and discussed the plan in detail.
