IGG and CRSRI cooperated on observing greenhouse gas emission in Qingjiang River region
Key laboratory for environment and disaster monitoring and evaluation of IGG cooperated with Spatial information technology application department of CRSRI (Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute) on observing greenhouse gas emission in Qingjiang River region. Field data collection and monitoring of this July started in Shuibuya reservoir and Geheyan reservoir.
This study of Qingjiang river started from 2010, including in-situ determination in Shuibuya reservoir and Geheyan reservoir every 1~2 months. The study mainly focused on CO2 and CH4 at water-air interface, the vertical variation of greenhouse gas on water and water environment factor, in order to give examples to study greenhouse gas in reservoirs of China, and to provide scientific support to clean hydropower energy.
