The 14th Geodesy forum was held at IGG on Sep. 13th, 2012. Associate researcher of SKLGED Dr. Chen Xiaodong was invited to give a scientific speech titled "The measurement and application of superconducting gravimeter".

Chen introduced the principle, history, calibration, the data processing method and the application of superconducting gravimeter in geodesy and geodynamics.

All kinds of influencing factors on superconducting gravimeter measurement and the related study were analyzed in his speech. Thereafter, He reported the latest research achievements on superconducting gravimeter at WHIGG.

The forum was presided by LIU Chengshu, the chief of scientific research division. Dr. LUO Shaocong, LEI Xiang’e, ZHANG Zizhan, BAO Lifeng as well as postgraduates attended the forum.
