Chinese Academy of Sciences recently published "2012 Science Development Reportof China” which contains affluent contents including science progress of 2012 in the world, review of the Nobel Prize, and the representative results of Chinese scientists.
The report also looks forward to the science trends in key field and analyzes the scientific hot issues which public concern very much. The fourth chapter named "Representative results of Chinese scientists" lists 23 research results, and 5 of which is about the Earth Science including the IGG research result “satellite tracking the change of water storage in ancient glacier”.
This research was leaded by Hansheng Wang whose research group cooperates closely with University of Calgary, Canada. And the research was funded by international partnersplan of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 973 projects andthe National Natural Science Fund.
