IGG assisted the “12.20” landslide relief effort in Shenzhen with UAV aerial survey technology TEXT SIZE:A A A

A large landslide hit Guangming New District of Shenzhen On December 20. Many buildings were buried or damaged and 76 people remained missing up to the 22th of December. In the face of the serious disaster, Xiaobin Cai, Jun Li of State Key Laboratory of Geodesy and Earth`s Dynamics (SKLGED), Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics(IGG) and Key Laboratory for Environment and Disaster Monitoring and Evaluation, Hubei got high resolution image, digital surface model(DSM) and 3D modeling result of the landslide area. Those results provided powerful data support for scientific analysis and decision-making.
