Invited by State Key Laboratory of Geodesy and Earth`s Dynamics (SKLGED), professor Liu Guoxiang from Southwest Jiaotong University visited Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics(IGG) and gave an academic report "Application of high resolution remote sensing in high speed railway and geological hazard monitoring" on March 18.
The report introduced application of high resolution remote sensing in high speed rail monitoring, focusing on the advantages and development of InSAR monitoring ground subsidence of high speed railway. Professor Liu showed latest research results in InSAR monitoring earthquake, landslide and rock-glacier. After the report, the audiences and professor Liu had a heated discussion about the InSAR data processing and its application in high speed railway, earthquake and glacier.
Professor Liu has a strong academic interests in high resolution remote sensing and InSAR. He is the dean of Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University and an authoritative expert in photogrammetry and remote sensing.
