Invited by State Key Laboratory of Geodesy and Earth’s Dynamics (SKLGED), professor Feng Yanming from Queensland University of Technology, Australia visited Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics(IGG) and gave an academic report on title “Determination of Positioning Integrity Performance Parameters for Vehicle Safety Applications” on May 28.
The report firstly introduced the background and significance of research from the fields of road safety, traffic management, autopilot and location information services, and puts forward some academic issues worthy of study. The requirements for navigation performance integrity parameters in the fields of aviation, navigation and road traffic are introduced and analyzed in detail. He also introduced the research results of his team on integrity parameters and protection ellipse, and the road vehicle integrity parameter determination and performance evaluation with the measured data in detail. After the report, the participants discussed the GNSS integrity parameters with professor Feng in depth.
During the exchange, prof. Feng also visited the BDS Analysis Center of IGG and listened the operation situation of the current analysis center. Prof. Feng highly affirmed the research progress made by IGG in the BDS/GNSS high-precision data processing model algorithm and platform construction in recent years, and conducted in-depth exchanges on related technical issues.
Professor Feng is mainly engaged in satellite orbit determination, GNSS tri-band signal data processing, ambiguity resolution algorithm and reliability research, and GNSS road safety applications. , fluid mechanics applications, etc.
