Invited by State Key Laboratory of Geodesy and Earth`s Dynamics (SKLGD), professor Peter Gerstoft from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego(UCSD) visited Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics (IGG) and gave an academic report “Compressive sensing in geophysics” on September 25.
The report represented compressive sensing method and the latest advances of compressive sensing in seismology. After the report, the audiences and professor Peter Gerstoft had a deep going discussion about the related academic issues.
Professor Peter Gerstoft is a famous expert in geophysics, his program “SAGA” is widely used for Ocean Acoustics and geophysical inversions.
