Invited by State Key Laboratory of Geodesy and Earth`s Dynamics (SKLGED), Professor Ditmar and Hanssen of Technische Universiteit Delft visited Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics (IGG) and gave two academic reports “Satellite Gravimetry and Mass Transport Modelling” and “Satellite Radar Interferometry for Geodesy and Geophysics: the fingerprinting concept” on March 10.
Professor Ditmar analyzed in very great detail the latest research progresses of gravity field model recovery based on GRACE satellite. Then he introduced time-varying gravity field models developed by satellite gravity research team of Technische Universiteit Delft and its accuracy.
Professor Hanssen introduced the theory of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR) firstly, then he introduced emphatically the application of InSAR in detecting the surface displacement. After the report, professor Ditmar and Hanssen had a deep discussion with the audiences.
