The second China Satellite Navigation Conference  will be held on May 2011, in Shanghai. Academician Sun Jiadong serves as chairman of the Scientific Committee of the conference.

The aim of the conference is to build an open, authoritative platform for academic exchanges, enhance social and academic participation in the field of satellite navigation, make satellite navigation an active field in China's academic environment, promote global satellite navigation and academic exchanges and cooperation, and to discovernew talents, explore new ideas, and promote China's own satellite navigation system technology innovation with key technology breakthroughs and sustainable development.

The conference also aims to promote exchanges between business and government to seek national application requirements and the fit between the national policies; promote technological progress and a breakthrough of industrialization and strengthening of investor confidence; discuss global GNSS development trends, promoting China's GNSS integration process; build on China's satellite navigation accomplishments through academic exchanges; and display “the brand.”
