Biography for A/Professor Jinling Wang
Jinling Wang is anAssociate Professor in the School of Surveying & Geospatial Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW).His major research interests are in the areas of navigation and geospatial mapping with multi-sensors, such as GNSS, INS, cameras. He has published over 200 papers in journals and conference proceedings as well as two commercial software packages (see details at: www.gmat.unsw.edu.au/wang).
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN), UK, and a Fellow of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG). He was awarded the Japan Invitation Fellow from the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2011, the Outstanding International Research Fellow from the University of Calgary in 2003, Australian Research Council (ARC) Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2000-2002).
He is a member of the Editorial Board for the international journal GPS Solutions, International Journal of Navigation and Observations, Journal of Global Positioning Systems, and President of IAG Sub-Commission 4.2 (2011-2015) on Geodesy in Geospatial Mapping and Engineering (www.gmat.unsw.edu.au/iag-sc4.2).
He was elected 2004 President of the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems (CPGPS), and the Founding Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Global Positioning Systems (2002-2007), the Conference Convener of the 2004 International Symposium on GPS/GNSS in Sydney, Australia; Technical Chair for the world's premier GPS/GNSS conference (ION GNSS2008) in the USA. He holds a PhD in GPS/Geodesy from the Curtin University, Perth, Australia.
