Static coulomb stress variations caused by the Nepal earthquake TEXT SIZE:A A A

A Ms8.1 earthquake occurred in the Himalayas, Nepal on April 25, 2015 which caused heavy casualties and economic loss. Researcher Xiong Xiong, Zheng yong and doctor Shan Bin from the Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, Chinese Academy (IGG, CAS) launched related researches immediately, they studied the variations of co-seismic static coulomb stress, furthermore, they analyses its contributions to aftershock and seismic activity in surrounding area.
